Hi all

I was diagnosed 6 months ago with behcet s after severe eye involvement. The amazing consultant ophthalmologist at Leicester was on it and recognised it as BD and after a mountain of blood tests refered me to a rheumatologist who gave me a diagnosis.I am now taking steroids & immune suppressants and am waiting for my first appointment at Birmingham COE.

I had never heard of Behcets before but now with hindsight and a little more knowledge I think I must have had it for some time but put individual symptoms down to other things.

I have picked up lots of tips from you all by reading through some of your post so thanks!

So just wanted to say hi really and look forward to communicating with people who understand

Meg x
