Briefly: 77 years old female three normal births early menopause due to treatment for Bladder Cancer at age 40. Free and clear as of last check 10 years ago. No Hormones taken ever.

3 years ago started horrendous uncontrollable diarrhoea all test done no answer’get on with it’ even loosing control on several occasions in supermarket Last August collapsed and admitted via a & e with nasty form of c diff.

For the last several years almost continuous UTIs again no cause. Just 3 day courses of differing antibiotics.

B.12 deficiency diagnosed 2 years ago after being anemic with no cause or treatment ever. Loading doses then 4x3 monthly for a year then stopped

All the above and neuropathy also put down to type 2 diabetes. Very well controlled and although once morbidly obese now better only 20 lbs over teenage weight.

Fed up and suicidal Earlier this year I stopped taking Buprenorphine 10mg patch as felt it was not helping and within 24 hours all bowel problems disappeared.

However back on normal meds co- codamol, Metformin ‘ lisinopril andRosivasttin.

Since 25/4have had continuous UTI symptoms told +++ leukocytes and blood everything else abnormal but expected.

Dr suggested washing with Cetrban and using hormone for vaginal dryness which I have had on and off over time.

Also recently diagnosed with grade 2 bladder prolapse and grade I uterine prolapse 3 pessaries tried when I informed of UTI and trouble starting a flow. Told wait next 4 months and see !

After last 3 days of UTI treatment no improvement tried 111told contact GP surgery contacted GP surgery we no longer do consults we have out sort this to another company where you will have to register via the surgery come and get it come in and get your registration details, et cetera so I sent a really heavy email to an address I found and got an answer back your last your test showed no UTI but it did show candida infection come down and we’ve left you some prescription. I’ve been using this cream and a tablet for three days and it is just getting worse. I cannot sit I cannot pee I cannot function.

It seems to me that no one has put all the above together to come up with treating the whole of my nether regions as one single problem everybody wants to treat their own little bit and leave it at that.

As the heading says can thrush really really be this painful, I am in agony. I can’t eat can’t sleep. I can’t stand. I can’t pee. I just can’t function.

Sorry for the long rant. Just gone online to contact 111again and a pop up warns not to contact local services unless ‘life and death’.

It feels like it might come to that!

ask for a consultation with someone else. My long term "thrush" was something totally different. Lichen sclerosis and vaginal atrophy. Easily treated although chronic.
