(16, male) i had sex in some woods with a girl I’m not in any kind of relationship with, she likely had thrust and I’m fairly sure I do now too after googling symptoms and finding this website. My and her parents were near the woods at the time but didn’t see us, and think we are entirely just friends. I feel I should get treatment for this, but if I told my parents I got thrush, they would know that I got it off her, and would never let me see her again. What on earth do I do?

What to do with thrush
I’d also be incredibly embarrassed about the whole thing for hundreds of mainly obvious but some less-so reasons
For a guy when they get thrush do use have smelly discharge? And do use usually get built up stuff around the head of ur penis when u pull the foreskin back?
Hi. Most importantly, thrush is NOT a sexually transmitted infection, so if it is thrush that you have, there is no reason why your parents will conclude you have had sex as you describe. As with vaginal thrush, the cause of thrush in men is an overgrowth of a yeast-like fungus, Candida albicans. It is naturally found on the skin of healthy people, however, when the natural balance of the skin flora is disturbed, the fungus can multiply excessively triggering the typical signs of the infection.
Simply not diligently DRYING under the foreskin after bath or shower, can give rise to the moist, warm conditions where the bacteria causing thrush can thrive. It can also develop in guys whose immune system is weakened - nothing to conclude it is related with sexual intercourse. Just go to your GP or (for total anonymity) a pharmacist or GUM clinic. It is easily treated.
Thrush treatment can be purchased from pharmacy or supermarket without a prescription.
