If Progesterone only contraception is so much safer than Combined Hormonal contraception, that why use CHC at all?

I've browsed through the FSRH UK medical eligibility criteria and POP has less restrictions than CHC at every medical condition.

I understand that CHC deals with pain, PMS and amount of bleeding, other than cases where these are severe issues, why would anyone recommend CHC?

Progestogens don't suit every woman - just like the combined pill doesn't suit every woman. The combined pill is also more forgiving for missed pills - you have only a 12 hour window in which to remember to take the POP. A combination of oestrogen and progestogen can sometimes be better for symptom control for some conditions, like endometriosis , or severe PMS. Some women prefer having a bleed every month to mimic the natural cycle , and also don't want to take a pill every single day. You could ask the question why would anyone recommend hormones , when they could have an IUD ? Simply because not every woman is the same, and they have different needs, so choice is always good :-)
