Can you use unopened tube of vagisil after the expiry date?

I have this tube never used it, it went of last year will I still be okay to use it?

The thing is it might not actually work. If you've not opened it then there's probably nothing wrong with it, but the effectiveness of the medication in it decreases over time, and expiry dates on medicines are.more when they stop being effective.
