Dear aduffy,

Did you and your partner get a full sexual health (STD) screen in February, when you had the coil inserted?

Please read my post to 'geothe' describing how to feel for coil threads.

If you can't see your GP, do you think you could see your local family planning/sexual health clinic instead? You may have to ring them this morning to make an urgent appointment and persuade them that it's not simply a routine coil check, as you now have bleeding and abdominal pain...and can't feel the threads(?).

And if you were not screened for STDs in February, get it done when you attend.

Rgds,

Adhari.
