So basically my periods this year has been really irregular but that is normal for me to be irregular. My question is that I haven't had a period in three months, from November to February and then it was heavier than usual. My mum says this is normal but is she just saying that to reassure me or an actual saying
Thanks

If you have very irregular periods, and none for 3 months or longer, its worth discussing with your GP. Women with PCOS may have quite irregular cycles, and as far as I am aware, its advised to have bleeds once every three months at least.
If you mean the combined pill ( after you have been investigated and discussed with a healthcare professional ) then it will help to regulate your bleeds. If your question is will it affect your future fertility, no it wont. Can PCOS with very irregular cycles cause difficulties falling pregnant ? yes it can in severe cases - but it is still possible.
