I’ve been diagnosed with Chronic prostatitis by my GP

I have trouble peeing and waves of pain. I’m up several times a night with it. GP has given me antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin) which are only gradually improving things. Reading around this, it seems quite confusing and under researched condition.

Any experience or advice would be much appreciated.

Well here's an update. It seems I've got Chlamydia in my urine and my throat.

Thanks for the reply.

It did clear up in the end with a one month course of ciprofloxacin,

fortunately with no recurrence.

I also had a weeks' course of doxycycline for the Chlamydia.

My GP thought that was just a chance finding though rather than the cause.
