Newly fitted coil

Hi. I had the coil fitted yesterday and it went well. I wasn't told to check the threads or anything but to return in 6 weeks for a thread check. I sometimes feel as if something is scratching me inside. Has anyone else experienced this and was anyone else told to check the threads themselves before their follow up appointment X

TIA X

i was told to check the threads myself, but found it quite difficult. I ended up going back anyway as i have been having ongoing stomach cramps with mine since i had it fitted in November and had spotting. I've been told this is normal and have an appt for a check up in a couple of months time in case it doesn't settle. It can take upto 6 months

I couldn't feel my threads either. The scratching you should keep a note of how bad it is etc so you can report back to Dr at check up. It's fabulous if it works. I had a few upsets in the first month or two then nothing. It was great
