Hormones going crazy after copper coil removed

Hi,

Im asking this for a friend.. she had an operation under General anaesthetic about 8/9 weeks ago to have a copper coil removed. As it had perforated the lining of the uterus.

Thankfully she is ok and recovering from the operation but she said her hormones are still all over the place. With some really emotional days, heavy period, back ache and nausea. She's getting a bit of a pattern in her cycle but doesnt know if this is due to the copper coil or not? Has anyone had a similar experience?
