So basically I have the coil fitted and has been there for 3 years now, every month I've had a period lasting for 3 days and its always medium flow, however the past 3 months I've been bleeding really heavily with clots too sorry for the tmi its so out of character from what my periods are meant to be. I'm not pregnant I know that much and I don't have any sti's just wondering if anyone knew of anything it could be or any reason for this?

Any changes in your periods yOu should go to the GP and ask to be REFERRED TO A GYNAECOLOGIST. Don't just let the GP treat you. They'll do a quick ultrasound and check what's going on.
