Hi everyone. I'm new here but I been freaking out for about 2 weeks over certain symptoms I'm experiencing. So for the last 2 week I've been having major tingling in my lips. I had a sore throat at at some point as well. I went to the doctor and got a check up. The first results were a uti. Gave me the meds for that. The second set of results came back negative. And the third set of results came back positive for Chlamydia and Trich. They gave me the pills to treat it in a single dose, now I wasn't haven't symptoms of neither std but now that I've taken the meds I'm having yellow discharge. I'm having aches on my vaginal walls. I went back to the doctor for them to take a look down there. They didn't see anything concerning. But I'm still uncertain. So I have another appointment tomorrow....here the reasons why I'm going back tomorrow..vaginal aches. Tingling in the lips( like major tingling) swollen lips ever morning. Fatigue. And what looks like little pores on my lips. I don't have any open sores on my mouth or in my mouth. Any open sores down there neither. So here's my question after writing all of this....after going on 3 weeks of freaking out if I had any kind of herpes wouldn't I most likely have more extreme sytoms than this? Need help!

Ok, i had bad experience before also. I tried this before going to see the doctor and it works for me. I used salt (2coffee spoons) and hot water to wash down there 3-4times a day (make sure just hot enough to not burn yours). After fews day, i did not feel ichy anymore and go back to normal. But to make sure i still had to see the doctor. Hope it helps!

Yes it is possible it could be Herpes and that the treatment you had has reduced the severity of the outbreak as you say you still have the sores they should be able to do a swab test to check. It is also possible that if your partner didn't get treated or that one of you hadn't finished treatment before resuming intercourse that you have been re-infected which would require treatment being repeated (can require more aggressive treatment as it may have become more resistant to the antibiotics)

Unfortunately you definitely dont have to have sores for it to be herpes. Some people who have the virus show no symptoms. Like my self for example I have genital herpes but I have no lesions or blisters, just random tingling sensations that are a little irritating. Hsv1 & hsv2 can take up to weeks to show in the blood. Keep testing every 3-6 months but personally it sounds like you have hsv1. It you do dont worry it is very controllable and one of the few conditions to have that you can continue life pretty close to normal. I don't want to get you nervous but when I thought something was wrong with me I was in so much doubt and didnt believe I had herpes because I had little to no symptoms I fell apart when the test confirmed...not trying to sound cocky but I am a very handsome man I would rate my self 8 out of 10. It is a ego buster but it is not the end of the world for sure. good luck mate.

I was giving metronidazole & cephalexin back in August they told me I could take the medicine together twice a day after the 3 or 4 day of taking the medicine I started itching below I even was comforting the itching by wiping very hard with tissue a day or 2 later I noticed a long cut on each of my labia I’m freaking out cause idk if it’s because of the medicine I also had burning as a symptom to and the side effects for metronidazole said it can create a yeast infection so I went & brought some cream for it but it seem like it really anit help much so I wen to the hospital after finishing all of the medication by This time my cuts done heal I’m just scared that what if it is herpes 😩😩😩😩 it’s crazy that soon as I started taking this medicine than all types of stuff start happening I been having tingling and light burning in my vagina for bout a month now and my doctor gave me her personal opinion bout my cuts and said she think I was just irritated onces I find a good doctors office that will test me for herpes I will feel relief

When was the last time u got tested for herpes and I’m starting to think it’s probably the medicine that started all of this
I just did the yesterday and she said exacly that. She said my vagina and mouth are in good shape and it's all the antibiotic I was taking that cause a yeast infection which is causing the itching. I told her I took meds for BV, then for a Uti, then Chlamydia, Trich. She said my body started reacting negatively to all the meds. So now I'm taking monistat. I was so relieved. Thanks everybody.
