Baby holding wind and family constipation and reflux

Need a but of advice.

First daughter aged 6 now suffers with chronic constipation since 5 months. Second daughter 17 days old is starting to show signs how her sister was.

Constipation and reflux runs on dads side of the family.

Need little bit of advice on what to do

No advice I'm afraid. I didn't think it was something that could run in family but maybe it can! Can you ask to see a pediatrician?

I sympathise deeply, it can be very distressing. my husband has a food allergies/interolerences, reflux and a bowel condition and now our daughter has been having problems from 3 weeks with reflux and potentially food issues... and I've been really low about it as it just feels like more to worry about/deal with. But trying to stay positive that they might grow out of it?

I'm going to call my doctor on monday again and see if I can speak or see something. Yes my 2 nieces both have reflux from their dad.

I'm trying to stay positive we thought our eldest would grow out of it but still struggle a little bit. Thank you

Oh how stressful. My husband's side of the family all suffer from this too so I'm hoping my lg takes after my side in this respect.

I'm sorry I don't have any advice to share for the baby, although when she's big enough, my in-laws swear by papaya to keep things moving. Big hugs xxx

I was hoping she wouldn't follow her sister or dad but by the looks she is. My eldest is on a lot of medication. Going to ring doctor Monday and then go from there
