Is there anything for my dizziness?

I have progressive c.a but when I received a copy of the letter my neurologist sent to my g.p It said I have Probable Multiple System Atrophy C.A is this the same as progressive c.a? I am constantly dizzy and this is more of a problem than my legs not working properly. Surely there must be something that can help.

Hi😊 There are medications prescribed for dizziness, discuss this with your GP, because of any possible interaction with current medication🙂

Your GP should have a copy letter from your Neurologist. It's not uncommon for some Neurological conditions to have similar or overlapping symptoms, your GP is best placed to explain the contents of the letter🙂

There isn't any specific medication for either condition. But, there are medications known to alleviate associated symptoms🙂xB

Luckily I do not have the dizziness but my balance is awful.

I need to hang on to my walker at times but I have discovered that I am better if I try to relax, avoid stress and divert my attention by talking or singing. Also helps voice a bit.

Sorry not more help x

I also have dizziness which comes and goes. I went to see my ďoctor and it is due to fluctuations in blood pressure. Usually one has low bp but mine is high. I was not given any medication but told to take things slowly when getting up or moving around. I hope this is helpful. Mina.

What u say about blood pressure is interesting. I have never been told this. My bp tends to be low ish. I have been told that the dizziness is part of the cerebella malfunction.. XO N

I have MSA and was told that the dizziness is part of my condition. I hope you get relief from this as it can be annoying.

I have just bought myself a rollator and was out trying it this morning. It's great and helps with my balance. I wish I had one sooner. Mina X
