Good morning guys, hoping you’re all well in this horrible miserable wet day-well that’s what it’s like here in West Yorkshire!
Just a query really. - My husband received his ataxia ‘friend’ ID card but the photo I included is missing from it, I myself who have C.A with atrophy an still awaiting mine. I totally understand & appreciate what must be going on behind the sciences with all the new protocols in place & the catch up due to no one working in the offices & am not rushing for it. I’m just hoping mine hasn’t been sent & ended up at someone else’s house & a bit worried incase my photo is missing from it, I did included them in with the form.
Just wondering why my husbands photos missing & why his has come before mine really lol.

‘Thank you for your message.
Please accept our apologies for not including your husband’s photo on his Ataxia UK ID card, and be assured that your ID cards would only be posted to the address you provided.
We are currently winding down on the backlog of ID requests following the relaxation of lockdown restrictions, and it is likely that we hadn’t yet got to your ID card request.
Would you be able to provide both your full names and address to: kgichohi@ataxia.org.uk. I will then be able to search for yours and your husband’s requests today to re-send your ID cards as soon as possible .
Ah many thanks Harriet for this. I totally understand the back log etc & an in no way trying to rush them, it’s my postman that tends to deliver my mail somewhere other my house lol. Will email the address provide now.
They did at one point stop doing them, but I’m unsure if they’ve re-stated again. I’d advice going on getting intouch with ataxia uk via their online page & getting their contact details from there, there’ll be either an email or phone number for ppl to getting intouch
Sorry to hear about the missing photo on your husband's Ataxia ID card. It can be frustrating when things don't go as expected. As for why his card arrived before yours, it could be due to various factors like processing times or different mailing routes. Sometimes, these things can be a bit unpredictable.
You could consider using an ID checker to verify the authenticity of the information idanalyzer.com/products/pri... and ensure that everything is in order. These tools can be helpful in some cases, providing additional peace of mind.
