my ataxia dr in sheffield has said i have vitamin e dificancy and wrote to my doctor to prescribe a supplement, called my gp surgary who have said my gp i writing to my consultant as they don't prescribe this and are they sure i have vitamin e not vitamin d. surly my ataxia consultant nows which one she means.

GPs understanding of Cerebellar Ataxia is as we all know limited, if at all. Your

Neurologist will certainly sort this out. Vit E, and sometimes vitB12 can be deficient in cases of Ataxia.

Fingers crossed it's sorted soon :-) xB

I was prescribed Vitamin E by Prof H in Sheffield ,the hospital pharmacy said that my GP would not be able to prescribe them and they were correct . I get them from the hospital !

dr s in sheffield has said i need them and yes my doctor will not prescribe, did they help you.
