Aye it is that.

Had a bit of a fall today when using rollator. Suffered a dizzy spell and ended up on the floor. A bit bruissed and battred but not to bad.

Had to sit for a while until I had the strenhgt tp drag myslef to the couch pull myself up.

Having a useless left leg didn't help of course ;-)

Feel olay now and rollator suffered no after effects :-)

Did give a bit of a fright though.

Hey-ho, it's a funny old world.

Well, that rollator must be made of sturdy stuff :-) so must you!

I've pulled a supermarket trolley over, so I know the feeling.

That leg needs to wake it's ideas up, it's as much use as a

chocolate teapot. Take it steady John :-) xB

Well Ted, I have to confess that I've never played tennis. Even at school

I never actually caught the bug for it. I realise now how much I'm missing

out:-)

It's going to be a few weeks of paradise for sport addicts isn't it?

Football, tennis and isn't the Commonwealth Games due to start?

I' m just about to reply to John, he's home in one piece thankfully.

Enjoy your weekend Ted:-) xB

Back home again, and not a moment to soon. The hospital was pakced to the seams, never so manpoelpe waiting to be seen by doctors.

I waited for an hour in a small room, but then had my blood taken, bloo dpressure taken, and loads of questions asked most of which I could not answer as my memory is pretty crap.

And all this time I kept asking for tablets for my pain which was by then really awful. Another hour passed and still no tablets for the pain even though I had now asked four times!

Anoter doctor said your not having an x-ray as "we don`t thing you need one". Again I asked for painkillers, again no response!!!!!!!!!!!

Same doctor: "why do you use a wheelchair?" I explained AGAIN Ataxia SCA6 and having accident at home etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc..............

Pain is really bad now and I let nurse know `either get me painkillers or I will get taxi home`.

At last that worked.

Boy, I`m glad they did not kep me in, I`m really glad they did not keep me in

What a performance John! It's shocking that you waited so long for

pain relief.

I know your GP erred on the side of caution but the outcome is it'll

probably make you think twice about involving him again.

Past experience has taught me you need to have your wits about

you if you need a visit to Casualty.

If I can help you in any way, you can reach me via details for

Gateshead/Newcastle Support Group. :-) xB

I hope it's a very, very long time before I Go back.

Lay on bed all day, taking pankillers for pain - head/hip.

Using my mobile to pst coments.

It's a funny old old world, one dizzy spell and all this sillyness happens. Pity I'm unable to turn the clock back a few days:-)

One thing I've missed todat, my cups of tea ;-)

Eyes still go in and out of blurred vison - used to cost me a fortune to get my eyes like that when I was younger ;-)

Going to try and get some sleep now

Dear John, I was out of town over the weekend, so just catching up with old emails/sites now (Monday afternoon-US time). My oh my, you've really been through it! So glad you're recovering at home, rather than in the hospital! As Beryl said, a hot cup of tea works wonders! Try (I know it's hard, as falls happen SO fast, been there, done that, more times than I care to admit) to take it slow! Thinking of you..., ;o) ;o) ;o)!!!

I've had a few days running of fatigue, it's so exhausting, isn't it?

It was so nice and relaxing just to be able to sit quietly in the warm

sunshine today. I hope you managed to get a bit of sun John
