Yes. But i don't think that it's related to ataxia.

Actually yes, and because in my case I can overheat or be shivering, I do think

it's associated. It's almost 10yrs since my menopause, so I rule that out.

Being too hot is draining, it makes me anxious. Too cold and I'm listless and

irritable. I'm forever either putting more clothes on, or taking them off! xB

Thanks for your reply. Every health professional I have mentioned this to didnt think it was related to ataxia but like youself I think it is. Do you experience these flushes particularly when you have been cold and when warming up its as though you cant stop getting hotter. And do you experience more so in the colder months.

Yes, I can say it's the same, or very similar. It has crossed my mind that it may be Thyroid

related but to date I haven't actively pursued that. When I'm cold, my feet and nose seem

to feel it most, and there's a horrible tingly sensation in my face.

This, along with most of my severe symptoms, seems to come in cycles. Sometimes

starting off with a series of heavy sneezes and then I can see some sort of pattern emerging

with symptoms, usually lasting a few weeks or so.

Most irritating and painful among this lot is tongue and cheek biting! We all know what that

feels like anyway, and if you do it once you can bet your life it'll happen again and again in

exactly the same place! xB

I have hypothyroidism and take tablets for that. But it has not stopped the hot flushes. They can’t be the menopause because the hot flushes from that stopped a long time ago.

I also have heavy sneezing and repeatedly bite my tong and cheek.

That's interesting isn't it? I asked for a blood test a while ago, it showed I was within range so the GP didn't pursue it any further. maybe I should have insisted. xB
