Cannot comment on that, but some say yes and some no. Do you use a nebuliser? If so you can get saline nebs which do the same thing....lubricate the tubes. I have just started using a flutter pipe. I didnt want to fork out the cash, but got one for mothers day haha. Anyway, that seems to be helping to shift the gunk. Early days yet, but may be worth the money :)

flutter pipes free on nhs,ask your gp or nurse for prescription.

This has bee raised several times, if you enter Salt pipe into the search box at the top of home page you will find a lot of answers to former questions/blogs.

I was told no flutter pipes free now. The physio was also asked if she had any but hadnt had them for a long time.
