...which is why we should all be carrying our hand gel round with us all year round - and using it regularly!
I've recently bought a job lot of hand gel!
Yuk - dirty, dirty money !
I don't read those dog eared magazines or even leaflets in doctors or hospital waiting rooms any more either. Other advice I have come across is steering clear of the bread basket if you eat out - many hands may have touched those rolls before they finally arrived at your table. Of course there is a whole long list of things to avoid or be aware of - but I will leave some for others to pass on because I am a very slow with the typing
Hi
I suppose it is about getting things in perspective aswell - we need to have a certain amount of exposure to bugs, germs etc to help build up our immune system. Some reports suggest that the increase in childhood asthma can be in part attributed to how clean and sterile our homes are!
Just the thought that money and cards have yucky germs like that on makes you think!
Keep clean

When we have a trip to the seaside we love to go play the 2p shove machines in the arcades, which means getting backs full of 2p coins to play with.
Before we do that, we go get a pack of wet ones at the chemist, knowing that our hands will be filthy very quickly. We also have some hand gel to help get rid of the muck and bugs, as there is nowhere to go and wash your hands.
Should we be wearing latex gloves to play? Even if we go to the bank for the coins, they don't always have bags of shiny new ones to give out.
A tip on the hand gel - a lot of people buy the small 'pocket pack' ones to carry with them. Keep the containers and refill them from a bigger, cheaper, size. I have an old hand soap dispenser full on my desk, which I cleaned out then filled with some I bought at the pound shop, a 500ml bottle, instead of the little 50ml ones you buy for about the same price.
There was an episode of 'Coast' on the other day, in the Cornish tin mining area, once again explaining that the thick crust of a Cornish Pasty was to get round the miners not being able to wash their hands to eat, they just ate the pasty and threw away the crust.
