Despite the odd couple of days where the sun peeked through and it actually felt warm out there, it seems that we've had the coldest spring for 50 years, according to the BBC report I just read > bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22718944
We seem to have spent quite a lot more than usual on gas and electricity, probably through needing to put the fire on still to take the chill out of the air. It's the end of May and I'm still having a shiver and having to move about to stay warm.
Wearing gloves to a BBQ isn't quite what I had in mind at the bank holiday.

And then the forecasters say that tomorrow is going to be a scorcher here, up to 21C (70F in old money), but then dipping down quite sharply again over the weekend.
Don't push for autumn to come too soon, 'cos that will mean winter's not far behind...
