well the sun is trying hard to crack throught the clouds today, I have hung washing out and am hoping for the best!!

I've had a lovely couple of days but must say I'm tired, The steroids seem to stop me sleeping really well, but last night was better, so hopefully we are on the up!

Tuesday evening hubby and I went out for a meal, which was lovely, first time we've been out without the kids since before Christmas so we really appreciated it! We tried a new place and had a great meal for a very reasonable "midweek special" price...result!

Yesterday I had a lazy morning then went to our local beauty salon for a luxury pedicure. When I was dancing and teaching dance full time I had pedicures every week and found them very helpful, as well as liking my toes to look pretty (i dance barefoot) the massage was always awesome for my poor feet. I had given them up, as the pedicure room was up a very steep flight of stairs but now they've moved the treatment to a downstairs room...bless em! It was great and very relaxing and my toes are a glorious purple!

yesterday was rounded off by watching the mens time trials (cycling) I'm a huge cycling fan and it was wonderful to see "our" Bradley and Chris do so well :-)

today no:2 son has a pal coming round...not very exciting?? but this pal is popping round from Zambia! He went top Zambia during primary school (I think they were 7) and they have kept in touch all that time...not bad for teenage boys! He comes to England once or twice a year to visit family so we always try and see him then. Last visit coincided with my sons birthday which made it very special! today they will play video games, chat and eat me out of house and home.....I'll be hiding in my studio with some sewing and the radio!!

I'm at the hospital in the morning to see the surgeon who did my biopsies, mum is taking me as hubby has had loads of days off recently and needs to preserve some holidays for later in year. We are palnning lunch out after the appointment...we like to "offset" the horrible things in life!!

Hope everyone else manages some sunshine and smiles today :-)

Mrs S xx

Sun is trying to get out? Keep your fingers crossed Val

Hi Mrs Shimmy

What a lovely blog. Unfortunately I am stuck in work on this rather nice day but will be on a weeks leave from tomorrow which I am looking forward to - although the forecast isn't great

My mum also accompanies me to visits with my consultants and other various mediacal appointments and we too always offset it with lunch or dinner out afterwards!

Hope you have a lovely day too

Marie

Loved your positive comments Mrs Shimmy; particularly the image of you with purple toes!

Its been sunshine and shower here today, quite unpredictable weather, a strong breeze with the occasional gust, the clouds are moving quickly across the sky. At the moment it looks grand with sunshine and big fluffy white clouds with blue sky here and there. I may head out to the garden to do a little bit shortly.

I always love a foot massage. You will be feeling pretty good today then Mrs S.

Good luck with tomorrow's hospital visit and have a great lunch out with your Mum.

All good wishes

Zoee
