Hi everyone excuse me for having twist last few days I've had sore throat I think I haven't gargled properly after inhalers or could be thrush I feel abit raw went up ta bed but coughing wheezing and hot then cold so I'm up lying on couch watching television my head feels battery because I'm tired and can't sleep does anyone gets these type off moments or am I just a odd ball then I thought is this a start off cold to be honest not a clue just getting on my nerves

Sorry you're feeling rotten. I hope it clears up soon. This sounds like more than a cold- some sort of infection. I'm not expert enough to say whether you need to start your rescue pack or see your GP. I hope someone will be along soon to advise you. Or perhaps you should phone the Helpline. You're not an oddball at all, unless I'm one too. My brain goes on holiday when my body feels rough. Best wishes. xxx

Really sympathise Germantara, I've lost count of the number of nights I've gone without proper sleep now. Have you seen the doctor, maybe you have a chest infection? I've been bad, really struggling to breathe for nearly 3 weeks now. I've had two rounds of Doxycycline and Prednisolone, the steroids always disrupt my sleep. Lack of sleep definitely makes it impossible to fully recover. I would talk to your doctor. Hope you feel better soon. x

snap , paracetamol and I player in the middle of the night .

Didn’t touch the headache …wheeze and cough , hot and cold

My daughter and her partner the same , and next door neighbour .

I have doubled my medication , cancelled by vax appointment , mucus not changed colour though.

I would contact your health professional .

Ring ALUK helpline for advice too.

It sounds if you’re in the best place if you’re feeling rough. I haven’t had a cold at all since I stopped working, but I have allergic asthma so have nearly always got a runny nose and post nasal drip. I do have days when I feel really tired, but then when I go to bed I can’t sleep. I hope you feel better soon.

Hi Tara, it would seem there's a lot of it about, sadly. I picked up a cold from my dad after he spent a night in A&E three weeks ago. I had a temperature and spent a couple of days in bed. I'm still full of gunk so have done a course of Pred. but it hasn't changed colour so no antibiotics as yet.

I think you're doing the right thing, resting up and keeping warm, but if it carries on, I would contact your doctor.

para cetamol does do anything for me --- except when intravenously . I found once some time when in emergency ambulance so i dont bother with that.

my mum used to use veganin but i dont know what that actually is under that trade name.

Sorry you are unwell Germantara - Hope you are well again soon. Yes I get hot and c don't lold (mainly cold) and am a poor sleeper. I lay on tope of bed to watch TV, and when I go bed I rarely sleep before 3 am.
