Yes that's what it is I think the dry mouth through the night could also be the problem I've constantly racking my brain why now but thinking bout it only started since suffering dry mouth tell you what it's frustrating the hell out off me

I have a very dry mouth and GP gave me "Glandosane synthetic saliva spray " works fine but my Pharmacy hardly has it in.

Nystatin is brilliant for Oral thrush, it works and taste good as well.

Yes it - keep it in mouth for at least 30 seconds, swilling it round your mouth, then swallow. helps the throat .

the Nystatin is for thrush in the mouth - i think you will need a prescription for that. Using the inhalers can cause it, so it is recommended to swill your mouth out and brush your teeth after using the inhalers to help not get thrush. I had it once - it worked well - you have it for about a week to clear up the problem. Hope you manage to get rid of it, it rather ruins enjoying meals when your mouth is so sore.

Next time you are at the dentist get them to check for geographic tongue. Steroids affect the thickness of your skin including your tongue and if you eat a lot of citrus fruits including tomatoes it can make it a lot worse.

Now that you mention fruit I was eatin a orange every day afore xmas cause I thought it would help me ward off colds with havin copd just thought it would be good for me now I'm wondering was that the problem forgot about me havin oranges

It certainly could be contributing but your dentist would confirm.

Wow, this is me spot on! I was not aware the tomato and citrus sensitivity is related to the steroids. What about cardamom, is that similar? I always ask my husband to use less of it, and every one else is OK

Are you on antibiotics. I was put on Azithromycin, 3 times a week years ago, and it gave me a terrible ulcerated mouth. My mum used to suffer with mouth ulcers, so as I do to, I think it's genetic. I've also found that NSaid pain killers such as ibaprofen, can cause mouth ulcers, as does an inclusion in toothpaste, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS). Since not using either of these, I do not get mouth ulcers anymore. Toothpaste without SLS is difficult to find, but it is available.

Yes, so I now read the ingredients list on the toothpaste packets. It seems that inclusion is in most toothpastes. I use Sensodyne, and they are always coming up with new names for their products, and stopping existing ones. So, even if you find a suitable model, it may not be available next time you need a new tube.
