hi you guys

not posted for a while as i’ve being getting on ok ish for severe copd /emphysema , i had my yearly review with respiratory nurse nearly 3 weeks ago and she decided to change my trixeo inhaler coz she thought i was inhaling too fast for it to be working properly to a dry powder inhaler trelegy .which may help with my sob .

well i’ve really struggled with this and not sure what to do for the best , as i was told it can suddenly kick in after 3/4 weeks , i feel like i’m getting weary as it’s taking it out of me struggling to breath all the time .

should i just go back to trixeo , ring my nurse or persevere with it till she rings me monday ?

i use ventolin regularly but not that it helps much ….

or can any of you recommend any other meds for me to try ? i’ve over the years been on fostair , trimbow ,trixeo & now trelegy ….

i’m not on oxygen yet thank god !!!!!

luv to you all ❤️🥰x

Hi chook, I think it's a load if rubbish takes 3 to 4 weeks to take effect as we would all stop breathing in that case. I always try a new inhaler with my old one still in the cupboard just in case. I would go back to gp or nurse. Good luck 👍

it was the respiratory nurse who told me to stick with it for 3/4 weeks ……

how long should it take for new inhalers to work then ?

but i’ll try getting in touch today

thanks

Good luck in getting this sorted. I agree this 3-4 weeks thing doesn't sound right.
