my daughter in law has come up positive on her testing kit, and She feels well and has been vaccinated. Should I keep away, I have had my jab.
covid: my daughter in law has come up... - Lung Conditions C...
covid

I agree with sassy Iris. Vaccines won't stop someone catching covid, they may just be less poorly if they do. Keep in touch with her by phone but I think it best to avoid close contact. I hope she soon recovers.
just had an email telling me she has now tested negative. Sigh of relief!
Good news butp I'd be tempted to do a third test to be sure.I hope you are able to get together over Christmas. It will be difficult for you this year Iris without Tony.
Thinking of you and sending love and a hug. Carole xx
I agree with everyone else, you should keep away. Unfortunately I don't have a choice, my husband has covid. We're just staying in different rooms as I'm vulnerable, so hopefully that'll be enough. Providing I don't catch it, Christmas will now be later
Fingers crossed that you don't catch it. As you say you can have Christmas later. Wishing your husband well.
Wishing you all the very best and hope you stay well. Xxx
Thank you. I'm covid negative but unfortunately have got a bad cold, going to contact GP tomorrow as it's affecting my chest. Definitely not the fit family at the moment 🤣. Take care and stay well xx
There's a really bad cold going round causing chesty coughs at present.hope u soon feel better x
Hope you don't catch it and that your husband soon recovers. xxx
Thank you. He's actually doing very well apart from going stir crazy. It's now me with a high temp feeling yuck but thankfully covid free. Have a lovely Christmas ⛄🎄 xx
hope there is someone looking after you. Get well soon love Iris x
Thanks but it's just the 2 of us in the house. I hope your daughter in law has remained negative 🤞🤞and you have a lovely Christmas ⛄ xx
Hope you're soon over this nasty bug and can enjoy Christmas.
Unfortunately I've now got covid. Waiting on my son returning from the hospital with my antiviral medication
I think i would err on the side of caution on this Iris you really dont want to catch covid. Having the vaccine doesn't stop you getting it. I would have to be sure on the testing. Fingers crossed it is a false positive and you can enjoy Christmas with the family x
Dear Iris, I'm 44 and was in the CEV group. I've just been really poorly and nearly landed in hospital on Saturday and today just thought to do a Covid test. It's a very pale line but I think had I done it last week it would have been much darker. I've had 6 vaccines because I had extra primary doses but I was still really rough.
Just keep safe!
Love Dee x
I hope u stay well Iris.perhaps dil could do a test again nxt cpl days x
stay away mum. I know you miss the company but the virus spreads too easily. Hopefully someone is left to have xmas dinner with?
Aw, what a dilemma! I can imagine how you must want to spend Christmas with your daughter.I know everyone is advising against it, but you still have a couple of days and if she's still showing negative on the lft I should think it would be OK.
I had COVID a couple of months ago and was pretty well OK apart from some fatigue. However, I have now got this awful 'cold' which has knocked me for six. It has set off a chest infection and thrown afib into overdrive.
So I would be more worried about getting this than the COVID.
Christmas won't be easy without Tony, so do what feels best for you. If time with your daughter is worth the risk...????
I think I know what I would do, but hope you'll do what feels best for you.
Best wishes to you. Xx Moy
Keep away if possible, otherwise wear a mask. Better safe than sorry. But still enjoy Christmas.
Sorry for late reply but same as others. Better to keep away. I had COVID not long ago and it lasted two weeks or more and I was pretty ill. People with medical conditions don't need COVID - A rotten time for this to happen..
Best wishes, Iris, whatever ou decide. xxx
I would keep away Iris because you’re not in the best of health. It’s upsetting but I wouldn’t risk it. Such a shame for you and your family. ❤️
