Positive for covid

So last week I wrote and told you I got my booster by attending a walk in clinic. Today I woke up stuffy nose sore head and tested positive. It’s been a busy week with face to face appt with dr on Thursday and a chest consultant appt on Monday and pharmacy hopping to get prescriptions. It was my dads birthday too, so visitors a plenty to the house. Thankfully my symptoms have been mild with a fever that paracetamol has calmed down. I’ve made enquired and no surprise I’m not eligible for antibodies and already one study has told me they have no more capacity. And other won’t accept me because I use ambulatory oxygen. It’s despicable that I’ve to let this run it’s course with no idea how things will pan out. I have enquired with dr over the phone to get antibiotics and steroids should I feel worse. I’m hoping the symptoms stay mild. Please take great care when out and about.

oh eck =how ironic going for your spring booster & tested positive i dont seem to suffer any after effects of having a booster jab (except for the standard sore arm)

The system for allocating medications and vaccinations doesn't always make sense to me. Hope you feel better soon.

Luckily the Omicron virus is milder than the Delta and people seem to be getting over this sooner, so hope you feel better soon, plenty of tlc x

Hope you get well soon. I've just tested positive too, so hunkered down for a few days with the symptoms of a bad cold.

Hope you don't suffer too much. I had it in March, absolutely dreaded it, suffering with Bronchiectasis but it turned out to be much easier than I anticipated. I did get checked out by a GP to reassure me. Don't hesitate if you are concerned. Good luck!

If you have a compromise immune system there is antiviral drug for you to have within five days of getting Covid.
