Thank-you Bkin. I have been up since 5 this morning feeling really sick still got sore head and buzzing in my ears. At first I wasn't going to get the vaccine but after having a hard think about things I decided to go ahead. Even though I've got these symptoms it will be worth a few days upset rather than me caching covid

in reply toSallyb29

I think the covid vaccine symptoms do pass after a couple of days. Take good care. x

Symptoms only since jag so I hope I get up tomorrow and feel better x

I had mine yesterday. By midnight 38 fever, terrible headache, back ache and feeling very sick. I have been drinking water all night. My immune system is really out to get that bug!

Just a sore arm. My friend felt a bit shivering with a sore throat. After a day felt easier.

Hi, I was fine till 3 days later, I was fine until I was nauseous and sick. I presume it was connected to the jab, as I was fine an hour later.

Thanks for your reply Croyonia. I suppose these short lived symptoms will be all worthwhile so we don't catch covid

Hi, Some members including myself had very unpleasant side effects which lasted up to 4 days. Others had very few symptoms with others experiencing just a sore arm and a headache. So it can vary. The important thing to remember is its a small price to pay to get us out of this pandemic. When you read the list of possible side effects of the vaccination you realise everyone is different and will can react in different ways.

I hope you feel better soon.

I too had unpleasant effects which lasted about 4 days. It shows your immune system is working and much better than getting covid. Hope you feel better soon.Cx

Aww don’t be scared Chuthers! Some of us have ended up feeling a bit rough for a couple of days after, but not everyone, and like others have said, it’s better to have a couple of days feeling tired and a bit unwell, in the scheme of getting covid!!! Be thinking of you! 😊

Hi Sallyb29I wanted to ask: i have started to wake and cough badly during the night producing a lot of phlegm is this typical of bronchiectasis? I'm 66 and wonder if its just a progression. Thanks for getting back to me by the way I have not spoken to anyone

My main problem was a temp of 39.1 which worried me. I rang for advice and was told a temperature this high was unusual but not unheard of.

I had a 'funny' head for one day and then the next five days just felt tired and slept a lot.

I had my jab last Wednesday morning . A week ago . The army came to the house.I got a stiff neck later and lost my appetite completely having cooked my evening meal couldn't eat it . Temp was up and down 33.7 at one time but can't remember any others. Very odd, body ached but no headache .Woke up lethargic not hungry, same on Fri . Sat got up washed and dressed and decided about 12 .00 am to have small glass of milk and slice of pannetonne and 10 minutes later had severe diarrhoea and at same time got extremely hot , skin was really burning and i couldnt breathe. Got really worried about that and tried to stand up but half- fainting and fell back on loo. So sat there with head down , and peeled off jumper to find skin soaked with sweat .Breathing was still difficult for long time . Later managed to fall to floor and crawled to bedroom where I somehow climbed into bed and lay there . Got the pins and needles in fingers ( this I found out later was mentioned in nhs letter ) this all took about 2 hrs . Later decided to get up again and wanted to eat so raided freezer and found icecream and ate that and got diarrhoea again! Not so extreme , this time and later managed to eat an egg without any bad effects

That was it and I do not know how much of that was related to the vaccine and significant .

Diarrhorea can cause fainting if severe apparently , but I have never fainted before or lost my breath so severely before. That frightened me and I need to know more before the second jab.

Quite normal now but want to talk to doctor . Have spoken to one of the practice nurses but she was busy just recording and just told me not to drink milk !
