Felt ill today so took a test & its positive i have Bronchiectasis & Asthma & im feeling so ill i could cry 😢
UPDATE
firstly i would like to thank everyone for all the wonderful comments they really did help during a tough few days.
From pretty much the moment i got covid i felt ill, the headaches were the worst(not sure if thats because i never normally get them). My chest felt heavy & crackled a lot but thankfully no chest/lung pain. A cough which i felt was different to my Bronch cough. The fever i still have & i have no smell or taste but i did manage to get up out of bed yesterday & eat some food so my appetite is back. I am feeling stronger every day & i do believe having both jabs has prevented this from being much worse.
Someone asked what it was like compared to a exacerbation/flare up & for me personally my flare ups have been a lot worse as usually i am hospitalised when i have them. I wish there was a vaccine for Bronchiectasis.
Thank you to each and every one of you. Stay safe & we will get through this together ❤️

Aww God bless you Julie 😘I've been so ill this last 4wks exasperation of copd now have vital infection and plursey. At home on steroids antibiotics and nebuliser. Today I'm just drained exhausted coughing mood so low its terrible. Hope you're feeling much better soon love xx
Heck Julie, one wonders how ill you would have been if not vaccinated. You certainly have been bad enough now. Hope you continue to make steady progress to a full recovery xx
It’s really good to know you’re feeling a bit better. This virus sounds really scary though, if it’s this bad even after both vaccines. I hope you continue to make a good recovery 🕊
I went for a full respiratory test week B4 last week.I walked
for what seemed a marathon and was totally done in by the time I got to the ward. BOY BETWEEN MY BREATHING AND WONKY LEGS, the reception nurse said "WELL, THATS THE WALKING TEST out of the question"
I blew into the machine breathed out and the tester said" I`m stopping the tests, you will not be able to do them"
He got me a wheelchair and pushed me back to my car, with my grandson who is my carer.
The end of the week all sorts of folks turned up at the house gave me all sorts to play with and said, Age UK phone and find out about a chair stair lift.
and all because the boy had a cough on the machine!!
So I am More of a sick old boy than even my wife calls me, Although, I don`t think she means it in the same conscience as the nurses
Hi Julie. My Son had Covid and he hasn’t got any lung problems. He was quite ill with it for a few days. He’s got over it now but still has lost his sense of taste and smell. Don’t hesitate to talk to a Dr if you need too.
