Trelegy Ellipta side effects
Hi
I was delighted when my regular medication was changed to Trelegy as I had heard such good reports about it. It only took about 4 days for a nasty rash to appear. The rash covered the upper part of my chest and back. It was unsightly, painful and it itched. I rang the GP and she told me to stop it immediately and go back to my usual medication. The rash disappeared after a few weeks and no permanent harm was done.
Perhaps you should speak to your GP.
I was eventually prescribed Trimbow which, like Trelegy, contains 3 medications combined. and I had no nasty side effects.
Stay safe
Kevin
Hi Kevin
Thanks so much for your very interesting reply. I feel like this rash didn’t happen when I first started on the Trelegy. I do feel suspicious about it now though. I’d love to be able to stop it for a week or more to see if it’d go but I’d probably be in a bad way with COPD if I did that. I’ve changed inhalers quite often over the years and I felt that the Trelegy was the best of them so far. This rash however is a price I don’t want to pay. I’ll therefore put a request in online for a phone consultation with a GP and ask about Trimbow.
Really appreciate your response!
