Being double jabbed is your best defense. So sorry you’ve contracted covid but I would really think you will recover. .

Hi,I am sorry to hear of your Covid-19 DX.I would like to reassure you through my experience.I am a 13 year survivor of lung cancer who had a upper right lobectomy and 2 years ago I was dxd with COPD .Last Sunday I was tested positive for Covid-19.My symptoms were of a heavy cold, cough, runny nose and fatique. As the week progressed there was no improvement, really started to let my mind considering worst case scenarios ie long Covid-19.Well I haven't a clue if this is related but my partner brought me home a nebuliser on Thursday and I gave it a go with a ventoline inhaler liquid.During overnight Friday my nose stopped running? Friday my cold symptoms started to fade.Today Saturday,I feel my cold has been lifted.I am still a bit breathless with my COPD of course, but I so relieved I have turned a corner with Covid-19.I am still using Ng the nebuliser once a day,not that I am entirely convinced this device was responsible for my change in fortune or the passing of time may have been equally responsible? But Hey I am happy to be feeling so much better I do wish you also a speedy recovery.

Thank you I have just had a test done at covid centre in case the lateral flow is wrong. I have done a further two later flows and both were positive. Feel really grotty today but I am fearful for my partner because he has had neck cancer and now has cancer in both lungs. He is peg fed and only weighs 7 stone. He also has cold. His two lateral flows have been negative a d he is double jabbed.xx

I think the lft are known to give false positives. Isolate but try not to worry until you've had the pcr. If you haven't got the NHS app you'll have to warn everyone you've been in contact with.Good luck, thinking of you. P

I’m really sorry to know you’ve tested positive. I know 3 people, who’ve all had both vaccines, who’ve tested positive this month, with the proper tests. I hope you’ll be feeling better soon. It’s great your partner has tested negative. Sending you both lots of good wishes 🕊
