I have Bronchiectasis. I take Azithromycin and I have an immune deficiency which I get hooked up to an IV once a month for treatment. My immune system must be high because:
Last month I was not feeling well and had abdominal pain, went to the doctor and long story short, was admitted to the hospital with a bowel obstruction. After several days of cleaning out my intestines which included a colonscopy, they still could not find out what was causing the obstruction. Surgery followed.
I had a perforated appendicitis pressing against my intestines. The signs of appendicitis is high fever, pain in that area, vomiting and a high white blood cell count. I only showed the high white blood cell count.
My immune system was fighting the infection to the point that it hid the most of the classic signs.
Just FYI, Beth
