Hi doing light exercise and a healthy diet will help, but I think you should have a word with your GP or respritory team. Please go careful Ang get a good night sleep 😊 Bernadette and Jack πŸ• xxxxxx

I agree with Bernadette speak to your respiratory nurse and consultant. The heat is probably not helping you. Look after yourself and any help I'm sure we can help you through things best we can.

Biggest things that have helped me are exercise, starting playing the saxophone and using a salt pipe. I swim everyday if I can and my breathing is very much better than when I was diagnosed

I run a singing for lung health group. Regular diaphragmatic breathing has made a real difference to my lung capacity and breath control.

This sounds very interesting to help with respiratory disorders. Do you know of any groups who do these singing sessions in Hertfordshire? Many thanks

The British Lung Foundation has a list of singing for lung health groups. Their main page is blf.org.uk/support-for-you/... can search for groups local to you on this page: blf.org.uk/support-in-your-...

At the moment, there are restrictions on choirs meeting but not on exercise groups or support groups, so some may be meeting and others not. Do check with the organisers before going.

Have you been offered Pulmonary Rehab where you would learn a variety of alternative aids and exercises, meds and diet. GP or Consultant can refer you.

Everyone's right. Gentle exercise is the way to go. There are various programs on the web, ranging from 10 minute seated to longer and more strenuous ones.
