Hi, I'm on Apixaban I struggle with breathing. Hope this helps knowing there are other people who have the same problem. Have a good night and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx
I was on apixaban. It made me itch. I have bronchiectasis and on both that and rivaroxaban I had bleeds from my lungs. Given my light weight and the risk of bleeding my cardiologist agreed that on balance I should not take anticoagulants.
I was on Apixaban it made me really unwell I would struggle with breathing about 1hour after taking it. I was changed to Edoxaban which has been much better for me.
Hi. I've been on Apixaban for about 5 months now and no problems. Sorry, I cant help. John
I've been on Apixaban, because of AF, for the past year and have no issues.
Hi I take Qvar inhaler to prevent asthma. Which if does for me. Take Apixaban for PAfib. No side effects that I have noticed. Seems well tolerated.
I was on Eliquis, and then Zarelto and have serious breathing problems. Switched to Warfarin which was ok. Now I am on Brilinta and having serious breathing problems. I can't work out, take a walk or carry things. Apparently there is an ingredient common to blood thinners (except warfarin) that causes an allergic reaction. Unfortunately, warfarin is not appropriate for post stents.
I'm on 2.5mg of Eliquis and have not experienced breathing problems. No side effects at all. This was not the case with Xarelto as I had debilitating side effects. You may need to try another blood thinner if this breathing issue doesn't resolve, or change your dosage if possible. These blood thinners work well for some and not others. Fortunately, there are quite a few to choose from. Keep your doctor informed and hopefully your body adjusts and you'll be just fine. Good luck.
I have been on Eliquis and have had joint problems swelling (or retaining water?) when I wake up in the morning.
I had to take some antibiotics and I don't know if it's a coincidence but it's gotten worse where my joints/ligaments are loose where the ones in my arms almost pop out/dislocate where it's painful to turn or lift anything with my arms extended. Now the swelling lasts all day. Luckily I don't have breathing problems, so hope you find one that works better for you.
Is joint issue normal (my doc thought it was just a coincidence) and that I had Rheumtoid arthritis, but I got tested for that and other inflammatory issues and looks like they are negative. I feel its from the meds since it started from when I started taking Eliquis.
Hi, thanks for this, I too have had really painful ankles, swelling ang my legs particularly the left one has seen the skin deteriorate, it looks like a dry river bed, so I have decided to stop taking this medication.I discussed with the doctor several things and they were unable to provide any logical evidence, and it has been a journey but I feel better. Of course everyone is different.
No problems with Apioxoban been on it a few years
