Back in hospital with pneumonia and it came on very suddenly. Was in A&E for 12 hours before they could get me a bed. Feeling quite sad as I was getting on very well after my LVR operation and had an appointment on Thursday for a lung function test and seeing the consultant but I assume this now be cancelled . It was already cancelled due to COVID. Hopefully will not have to wait too long for another appointment.

Back in hospital
Hello Will, 👋
I'm so sorry to hear about your setback. It really can be so hard when you do all the right things and then suddenly you find yourself on your back in hospital. But please think of this as a temporary setback, and you are in the right place to get all the help you need to feel better and get stronger. I really hope you feel better very soon. Take it easy and best wishes to you.
Cas xx 💐
Oh dear. I do wish you a full and speedy recovery try and rest its a good aid to recovery. I wouldn't worry too much about the lung function test they wont actually change how good your lungs are working. I know its good to find out but it can wate till you are better.
So sorry to read this. But as Cas says you are in the best place and will have the best treatment and medication to make a good recovery. She knows, having had a serious set back a year after her lung transplant. And is now home and well and probably doing too much.

Very sorry to know about this setback. Hopefully you will be feeling better soon. Wishing you all the best for a good recovery so that you can get back on track again before too long 🤞
Hoping you feel better soon Will. Wishing you well. Xxxx
Oh No, so sorry to hear this Will57, but you’re in the right place and hopefully with the right medication you’ll be feeling better soon.
Really sorry to hear this Will. Hopefully they may be able to do a lung function test before you are discharged ie when better. Could you ask them at the hospital about that?
I just asked the consultant but he said due to my present condition
Will it would be pointless doing lung function tests on lungs that are inflamed and infected .rest up get better and then you can measure the success of your recent procedure.
Best wishes Skis and Scruffs 🙂
Very true
Sorry to hear you’re in hospital Will!! Pneumonia can really take it out of you so make the most of being looked after in hospital & hope you are feeling much better soon!!

This is my 4th time with pneumonia in the last 16 moths with 4 hospital admission. Last july I was in hospital and they released me too early and i was back hospital 3 day later where my pneumonia had not cleared up and had sepsis and was informed informed that I only had a very slight chance of surviving then stayed for 23 days
However I am starting to feel better. Thanks
Hope you get better and stronger soon. Take care.
Because I acted quickly they are letting me go home today and although I'm feeling much much better they have advised me to take my emergency pack
Hope you get better soon Will and dont have to spend too long in hospital, just rest up and take it easy with plenty of tlc x
