Good Morning everyone and a very Happy New Year to you all. Hope 2020 is kind to you.
When John came out of hospital after having pneumonia his consultant stopped Relvar Ellipta and Incruse Ellipta and gave him Anoro to inhale instead which I believe is a non steroid inhaler. I found it odd as he was really breathless. I encourage him to go back on steroids for a week, and after a visit to our doctor he agreed about the steroids, but was noncommittal about other inhalers. Is there anyone taking Anoro and did it help. Carole x

I’m wondering if the consultant suspected the inhalers were the cause of the pneumonia? It is listed as a potential side effect. I’m now using Anoro but only on my third month of it so not sure yet.
I have been on Anoro Ellipta for quite a while now without any obvious side effects, unlike my previous steroid inhaler. I have also been reasonably well for some time, but it impossible to know whether this is due to my healthy life style rather than the medication. I have emphysema.
