ANORO ELLIPTA
I just wondered if someone could tell me if
Anoro
Ellipta
has an accumulative effect. I was diagnosed with emphysema a few months ago and have been using Anoro for the last 3 weeks - nothing has improved.

Anoro Ellipta - have you had side effects
Instead she wants me to try
Anoro
Ellipta
55/22 as a preventer. Having read online the side effects I am very hesitant to commit to taking this every day as my symptoms have currently subsided plus I do respond well to the salbutamol.

Switching preventers
My consultant has recommended I switch from Fostair 200/6 to Relvar Ellipta 92 as I’m getting too many nighttime symptoms. His rationale is that I’ll get more steroid from the Relvar and hence will have better control following the switch. I’m confused, though, because as far as I can tell Relvar 92

Inhaler causing A Fib
Hi everyone, On Tuesday I had an episode of a fib. It lasted 16 hours. I take metoprolol Succinate Er 25mg. The next day after using one of my inhalers Incruse Ellipta I felt kinda off. My blood pressure was quite high 148/99. The next day the same thing happened. Today I woke up and my BP was still

Copd meds
Hi, my name is Mel and I have had copd now roughly 5 years. I currently have a salamol reliever and am on duaklir genuair inhalation powder, which usually works for me. More breathless than usual so a new doctor put me on relvar ellipta fluticasone furoate 184/22 micrograms. Had a really bad episode

bronchietasis
the only help I have is Incruse Ellipta inhaler. I do not cough up much phlegm , I also suffer from asthma and Emphysema. I have low energy levels, is this normal ?, also breathlessness even just sitting down, and a heaviness in the chest. Walking can be difficult, I have to take it slow, not what I

I was then prescribed
Anoro
Ellipta
during a telephone conversation with the respiratory nurse then during my most recent “test” over the phone, was told that my description of my symptoms meant I should now use Trelegy Ellipta.

ALLERGIC REACTION
Yay! I'm one of those lucky people who's had an allergic reaction to either my Trelegy Ellipta or my Carbosisteine. I've spent the morning scratching. My skin feels like it's on fire and it looks like pink scales. Skin rash and hives are supposed to be possible side effects of both. So I don't know which

Chest infection confusion
Hey everyone. So this has happened twice now with similar sets of symptoms. Recent symptoms: Basically severely reduced peak flow (150 during the attacks, max is 470, about 250/280 now, so I'm well into amber still), been in and out of hospital the last few days with asthma attacks, increased work

Update to “Inhaler”
I managed to get a face-to-face appointment with a doctor yesterday but unfortunately other events changed the outcome. As I’ve detailed in my Profile I also have an autoimmune illness and, due to a type of flare, I’d had to increase my steroids (from 6mg of Prednisolone to 60mg per day). I seemed to

Antibiotic advice please
I was diagnosed with COPD about 5 years ago and, apart from the fact that I’ve not had a lung function test since diagnosis, I’ve coped quite well. I remember writing on this forum about a change in my inhaler but I’m currently using Trelegy Ellipta and have been really well. Unfortunately I developed

Inhaler
I was diagnosed with COPD about 4 years ago. I had another lung function test the following year but have only had “telephone lung function tests” since then😩. The respiratory nurse at my doctor’s surgery retired last month and has not been replaced so I’m finding it difficult to get advice. Just before

Incruse Ellipta 55 (umeclidinium bromide)
I have a question about the Incruse Ellipta inhaler. It was written for me for the treatment of asthma, I read the leaflet and it says it is intended for the treatment of COPD. It worried me because I have asthma and not COPD. Have any of you been prescribed this asthma inhaler? Thanks for all the

More inhaler questions
As I wrote last week, I started taking Spiriva again following problems with Trelegy Ellipta. Spiriva had been my first inhaler four years ago, followed by Anoro and eventually Trelegy. I’ve been really short of breath since re-starting Spiriva so I really feel I need to change. As I have no idea how

What makes the Asthma Nurse a specialist nurse?
Yesterday, I had my first Asthma review since returning to the UK 18 months ago. My peak flows were 325-300-300 The nurse said that these were fine and to continue taking my Relvar Ellipta but change from Salbutamol to Bricanyl This nurse was also the diabetic, thyroid, HTN and HF specialist. I don’t

Update on “continuing member”
First of all, thank you for your comments and support. One thing I probably should have included in my post is that, although I was a member of this group during my late husband’s illness, I feel very much like a “new” member, in that I really need to be refreshed into the symptoms/progressions of this

Throat problem
Hi. For some time now, I have hoarseness once a day at different times. It sometimes lasts from a few to several minutes. I use two inhalers every day. Relvar ellipta 184 and spirive in capsules. Always rinsing out the mouth and throat. I don't know what else can I do anymore? Is this normal after
