Hi labyrinth. It would be an idea to contact your drs and query this. People with asthma need to take a steroid inhaler each day, usually twice a day. To my knowledge anora does not contain any steroid.

The hospital switched me from Ultibro to Anoro last July when I was admitted for an exacerbation for COPD, first time, following this I was diagnosed with lung cancer, had pneumonia in December, found Anoro didn't do anything to help with breathing, saw my respiratory nurse at surgery this week and she has just switched me to Spiolto, so will see how that works! Everyone is different and what works for one may not work on another, there are so many inhalers.

Hi younginmind, just check that you’re taking it correctly. Only saying because I had been taking mine wrong. I had asked to see a respiratory nurse to check that I was taking it properly and I had been inhaling to fast x

There's a possibility of COPD asthma overlap, like I have. I take a non-steroid inhaler and Ventolin as an occasional reliever.

I’ve heard of relvar ellipta being used for asthma but not anoro ellipta. Relvar therefore good for copd/asthma overlap. There are so many inhalers that do the same thing mentioned in these replies…spiolto, anoro, ultibro…it’s just a case of finding the one that suits you best and ultimately how knowledgeable your respiratory nurse/GP and their listening skills! Take care 🦊x
