My GP no practice is just interested in giving the cheapest possible "care". Over the past 12 months they changed my COPD and asthma inhalers to cheaper ones and when I insisted my conditions worsened I was just patronized and treated as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Finally after 3 courses of steroids and antibiotics they put me back on my original medication. There is only one other practice near me, they used to be good until they changed doctors but they went downhill after that. Fortunately I am receiving help from the Restart team from the hospital. My GPs have been just as bad with supplying care in other areas.

Hi AnnieLouisa I think these days you are lucky to have a good GP. I have been taken off one of my inhalers for a cheaper one but luckily it hasn’t affected me and they are all about saving money. I really worry about our future with the NHS. At least you have been put back on them again but it’s not right you had to suffer for it.
Actually some inhaler's are tricky to get hold of that is why they change the inhalers. A friend had that happen to her.
Had to badger my gp.to take me of amoxicillin as everytime I got a infection I ended up on on another dose of same meds. Until my doc was away and had to see locum who when I explained about amoxicillin he nodded his head and said no. Put me on another make of antibiotics and they were brilliant hits the spot everytime. Going to see which surgery hes from and change over if I can he was so helpful and brilliant
Yes they tried that with me too and took me off symbicort for the generic version. The contents were the same but the expediancy was different. The grains were finer in the generic version and it didn't help me. I rang up my doctors and they changed me back. x
Medical Insurance Compared are very good I've found.
find a new Dr that you can talk too
I wish !!! Do you think I haven't tried !! They are all singing to the same tune, but costs.
