I’ve been having a pulling pain on and off in my lungs; does not hurt when I breath; and I’ve had a course of antibiotics and steroids for a recent chest infection;
Anyone know what it could be; slowly getting worse.
Is It just emphysema & asthma worsening?
Thank you

Pulled mussel through coughing? Embalisum ? pain from unresolved infection? To be honest it could be anything. I feel if the pain is getting worse you need to see your gp as soon as possible. If it becomes sever and unbearable you should seek imediat help call 111 go to the walk in center or a&e (probably a last resort as its a horrable place to be if you are not well) i hope your pain is soon resolved
I would speak to the GP. You could have pulled muscle when coughing. Ive done that b4 its painful. But it could be many things so best to get it checked so u can find out an treat it xx
Hi there. Don’t leave it in case it worsens. Contact your gp., it might be a strained muscle but better to get it checked out than get caught out. Hope you feel better soon. Good wishes.
Hi xnellx, I pulled an intercostal muscles, which is between your ribs, purely by coughing so much due to bronchiectasis, very painful.. Had to take a course of cocodamol, which did help. Dr says it was the sheer force and amount of coughing. I would get it checked.
Have you been coughing more than usual you may have jarred the muscles. But if it gets worse make sure you go t the Doctors just for peace of mind. Hopefully will just clear up. X
Thanks everyone, I have made an appointment; 2 weeks away; but I’ll phone and make a emergency if it gets worse; guess it’s not part of emphysema or asthma! Hard when it’s new I don’t know how I should feel to know if it’s normal or not,
xNellx. I think we do worry more about any other pains with our other problems. .if it does get worse please go to walk in centre. 2 weeks is a long wait if you are in pain and it's not getting any better.
