Hi

Hard to digest foods will lay heavy on the stomach, giving a feeling of being bloated, which in turn puts pressure on you diaphragm restricting the breathing.

Smaller portions may help. Or source food that’s easy to digest for happy mix.

Hi carolg1 .

Stone is right, what we eat has a lot to do with everything really, but for us lungies easy to digest foods are best, and portions have to be small. My biggest meal is breakfast as I have more space in my tummy in the morning , lunch is smaller and dinner is smaller and lighter still. Our bodies needs oxygen to digest the food. So yes, we get easily tired after a meal. Have a lovely weekend. xx 👒⛵

Hi Carol, I always fall asleep after lunch nowadays, which I never used to. I presume it’s due to my body using oxygen to digest the food. But there again, my husband does the same, a sign of getting on I suppose.

Hi I also find that I have to fo some lung clearance after meals ,its either lots of air trapped or clogged up and clearance needed for me due to emphysema and bronchiectasis. Feel so much easier after doing that but having mucofyne 3 times a day helps loosen it.
