i have a hip problem now cannot walk more than few steps with aid of stick but went to a local hall for a talk from local u3a group. If you dont know about u3a then find your locall group and join.
Talk was about the tectonic plates of the earth. Met the other members and had a quick drink of water, Idont drink tea or coffee . Came home and sat down with glass of milk and biscuit , then i had the most sharp pain under my right shoulder blade . It persisted in waves . Took breath away
So googled this and found advice there. From gog tot o A&E to wait if it persist for up to 6 weeks before getting help ! Not much good . No help at all but sat in easy chair and drank the glass of milk while thinking about it
---- And then the pain stopped just like that . Found that insuffificient liquid intake could cause that pain -there in back under shoulder blade. ItI hasnt returned so far. Didnt know that.

I hadn't come across that, Jaybird19 . But I do know it's good to aim for about 2 litres of fluids spread throughout the day. We achieve that with mugs of tea/coffee or glasses of water/fruit juice: early morning, elevensies, lunch, threesies, dinner, supper, plus water as required through the day.
I do two sorts of pelvic floor exercises every day, and found they have a cumulative effect over 20 years. Where I used to be up 5-6 times in a night, it's now only 1-2.
Interesting to know Jaybird. I do know that the pain I sometimes get in the middle of my back between the shoulders is from reflux, but next time it comes on I will make a note to see if it is a lack of liquid x
Just my musings but you may have a problem with your kidneys or bladder? Many years ago, I had an ectopic pregnancy but all the pain was in my shoulder, not my nether regions. The doctors called it referred pain, something to do with the nervous system in your body.
Anyway, my advice would be to see your GP if it keeps happening xx
there was a lot of suggeestions re other conditions and only one about lack of liquids. had a drink while w thinking about it and it went away quite quicklynot auto suggestion but I will ask ne xt time I get the chance
i have never drunk d as much liquid as is suggested routinely as breathing through mouth dries mouth, and ikeep glasses of water handy about the house for a quick swig to wet my mouth when necessary
Interesting, I've never heard that before. I'm unlikely to suffer considering how much tea I drink 😄. Sounds very unpleasant and I could see it would be very worrying if you didn't know. xx
