Saw the GP, all tanned from his Mexican holiday! So Blood test and sputum test tomorrow first thing. He didnโt like the rare bird..He also wants to check if I have fungi in my chest? Doesnโt like that lingering cough..ENT eliminated Gerd so that was good.
I have a nasal antibiotic cream for the damage caused by the ENT and a referral to the allergy clinic to see if I am really allergic to penicillin or not..
There was an article about that this week in the Times? Did you see it? Small choice of papers in my Swiss town...anyway I thought it was exactly me, diagnosed with an allergy to penicillin and catching a hospital bug! Not the first time, because I got one in 1985 as he reminded me looking through my file.
I asked am I immunodeficient? He said yes.
So it is all fun ๐in the Alps โฐ
I finished 2 detective novels, starting on a 3rd..will watch football this evening, early game!
So end of the Ologists and onwards towards a diet of guacamole and tequila from your friendly Mexicanised Gp.i hope you don't have a funny guy in your chest, you have enough to cope with already.
Start on your next novel now as Psg will have defeated Red star by half time and you will soon be bored.Aria looks rather fetching in her designer towel.
Interesting and useless fact No1.Healthy cats have 32 teeth,Scruffy has a mere 9 which is 8 more than her owner/slave yet she manages to consume half of the UK.s import quota of line caught tuna.not doing bad for a gummy moggie. xx
Poor Scruffynounette ๐ and her toothless owner ๐ฟ..well weโve got a right pair, you have a gummy moggie on tuna and we have a runny tummy one on pork and pumpkin ๐ said Bea! Certainly spending our quota of vet fees!! ๐ฎ
Not sure if itโs good or bad? But I like the sound of your GP. At least he is following things through. Now... just a suggestion, how about writing the next book? On your very own? Or maybe a memoir? Just do it. Get some words down. Donโt stop, just keep going. Shoot the monkey on your shoulder, that is muttering negative stuff in your ear about โwasting timeโ. I am watching, and I am scarier than any monkey....
Well you are right, he is following up whereas the others probably thought she is getting on a bit, so forgot all about me!!^^
No, I have nothing fun to write about, who would want to read about Swiss bird bugs and mosquitos! Yes they are still around and I am wondering if they come through the ventilation system because it is 7 degrees out in the Jura mountains!
Monkeys ๐ ?? No I may have ๐ on my shoulder ๐
So I reread some paperbacks I had forgotten I read and only realised it half way through but read them to the end because I couldnโt remember the end either!
Wishing you well too xx ๐ป๐ฆ๐๐
Aria must be feeling the cold all snuggled up and cosy. Glad you have seen your GP Fran hope you feel better soon. Wishing you well.๐ โบ

Hi Fran, its good to know that he is helping. It make you feel a whole lot better when its one of the good guys. We all need them sometimes.๐๐
Youโre very lucky to have such a competent GP, Fran. Worth his weight in gold ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐI feel happy heโs now in charge ๐ค Love ๐ฆ (had one left in my pocket!) ๐๐ xx
Yes Penny thank you ๐I feel lucky๐He follows things through. I think he was puzzled when I first saw him and said I had LAM, so he did his research.
You know you have the type who think itโs going to give me too much work, canโt be bothered and refer you straight away then you have the few who find it interesting because they like the medical profession I suppose and it changes from the daily ailments. He is of the 2nd type, I brighten up his day ๐
Iโm sure you do, Fran ๐ฆ youโre good at brightening all our days โ๏ธ๐น๐ฆ !!
My last GP was in that category...always pleased to see me and wanting to help, intelligent and up to date, but he retired and I moved house. ๐
I havenโt met any GPs at my new surgery yet, so not feeling as safe as I used to....the receptionists seem keen on pushing me towards the asthma nurses so far, and I feel Iโm the one who knows not them.
Early days, though, and apart from a drug change that went wrong, no further challenges.
Fingers crossed ๐ค๐ค๐ค
Have a good day, Fran, โฑ ๐ป๐คฉ Bet it was good to meet up with Bea and Aria again โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ Have I got it right....? Is it this week theyโre with you?? ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐บ
My grand-babysitting day today, ๐ฆ๐ป๐ถ๐ป so Iโd better get moving. Love ๐ฆ and good luck ๐ Penny xx
No Iโll see Bea in November..Iโm still in the nursing home until I go to the Lyons Hospital..works on the flat is taking longer than planned as always..but it is ok here, very restful and no chores ๐ just going through those tests and medical visits until they sort it all out.
It is a good time to do all this in a way, while the flat is being renovated. Then I can look forward to peace and Christmas ๐
Oh I see ๐! Iโm glad youโre comfortable where you are, Fran....these building works always last longer that quoted ๐ทโโ๏ธ๐ท๐ผโโ๏ธ Christmas not long now, or so the shops are telling us! ๐ฒ๐
I do hope your tests and treatment lead to some important problems solved, Fran ๐จโโ๏ธ๐ฉ๐ผโโ๏ธ Iโd be interested in your penicillin allergy test.....Iโm allergic too but Iโve been reading it doesnโt always last a lifetime. Iโm so odd with so many drugs though that Iโd be very very nervous to try it again.
Hereโs hoping for medical successes for us both ๐ฅ๐พ
Love ๐ฆ (the crab is my latest fancy since my recent rocky beach holiday! ๐ ) Penny xx
What a great photo! That is so cute. I hope your next lot of tests go well (& don't inflict any further injury on you!) It's good to know your doctor is on the case. Hopefully it will be a start of getting things sorted out for you.
Fran, Whatโs the name and location of your pulmonologist? I will be in England in December to see Sir Paul McCartney play in Liverpool. I was thinking of seeing a London specialist for a second opinion.
Exactly not out of the woods yet but at least I have a GP following things and saw an endocrinologist who explained steroids clearly to me yesterday.
I need to digest the fact that I will have to take them for the rest of my life, well I did last night so thatโs that. I will ask the nurse where to order that id bracelet now.
