I get them at my surgery. Ask your doctors what you are supposed to do if you start an infection at weekends and holidays. Tell them you want their private numbers so you can ring them for your meds. x
I have my rescue pack on repeat prescription. Whenever I feel I need them I don't have to see the GP. These rescue packs can save so much misery and I'm sure it's saved lives too. Put your foot down Dave. Best wishes
I saw my Dr yesterday and he made sure to ask if I had a supply of both at home, and told me to take them immediately if I felt I needed them. I do need to put in a separate request for them, that is they are not on the list of repeat prescrptions. Perhaps that is where the mix up is. Did the Dr. speak to you, or the surgery staff?
Nice guidelines and all ccg guidelines (as well as the GOLD guidelines) state that any one at risk of exasperations should be issued with a rescue pack. There are case where they are allowed to refuse e.g. where they believe the person can't manage there medication correctly. Hope this helps.
