It’s a no for me. My con did send me to an immunologist and he explained that the HIB vaccine given to children was for type B HI and the type of HI we have is NON TYPE. Interestingly the immunologist he replaced did give the vac!
Saying this I have heard some people with Bronch who have had the HIB vac appear to have reduced HI infections.
Noting’s straighforward with bronch!!!!
Cx
I am pretty sure that my consultant asked my GP to give it to me, probably 15 years ago. I don’t get HI but tend to think that’s because the pseudomonas keeps it away!
Thank you for your sound advice littlepom much appreciated
Well I'm not sure if I have helped much in this case.
Yes littlepom every little helps x
I had to have 2 weeks ago with other vaccines as a blood test revealed my anti bodies were low.
I wish you well Chriskho hope all good results for you..x
what is that?
What is it?
Yes I have had the injection. HIB stands for haemophilus influenzae bacteria.
I haven't been offered it despite nasty bout a year ago told it had colonized in my lungs. Was checked for immunity against Pseudomonas & blood test showed little or non. So had vaccine & repeat bloods were done & much improved
