Doctor visit tomorrow.

I meet with an allergy and asthma specialist tomorrow. Any advice? So far my gp has given me oral steroids 40mg x5 days and it just moved my peak flow up from my most bottom number (not everyday) 250 to a high of 350. I feel slightly better, but still gasp and cough at night, cough just walking my kids to the car for school drop off and I now will get awful chest tightness and pain. Is there anything I should ask for or try? I am fed up with feeling terrible.

I hope your specialist helps to relieve your problems.

Well, my spirometry and nitrous oxide came back normal. They think that coming off of steroids sunday affected the results but seem to think that I am only reactive from respiratory infections.

What does this mean? I do not have asthma? I just had a horrible case of influenza that lasted forever? She put me on symbicort for 2 weeks. And then Im testing for allergies just in case i have a bad reaction tion to pollen again.

Thoughts?
