A good painting Ern and it’s our daughters 43rd birthday tomorrow. She’s off to London with hubby and our two grandsons to see Mathilda. Hope the trains don’t let them down,

I’m not a fan of fireworks and can’t wait for it to be over. Xxxx

No - I am not a fan either. I was as a young lad. I saw Mathilda. years ago on a DVD - I hope the trains don't let them down, to many reason these days we can be disrupted, Thank you. xxx

I reckon I could warm myself with those flames Ern😀 The picture quality was fine for me.

I’m not a firework fan at all, not only because they scare my cats but I also worry about the horses kept out this time of year, not to mention the wildlife. It’s not helped by the fact that, despite two main displays in the local area here, people still let off their own fireworks for several weeks either side of bonfire night itself 🙄

Sorry, moan over😀

There was an artical on TV yesterday morning about hedgehogs. It said all bonfires should be dismantled and rebuilt before being lit to check for wildlife. It was upsetting to think that this is probably not done.

Quite so CD. The two organised displays have huge bonfires that get built over a period of weeks but at least they do put chicken wire round the bases to try and prevent hedgehogs getting in. The myriad smaller, local affairs don’t though.

The chicken wire is a good idea, if only everyone was so thoughtful.

I don't like fireworks either, they scare our cats. I think a complete waste of cash, but I like painting them and fire at times.. I don't call that moan TC. :-)

My council had an organised bonfire and firework display on Friday evening. I swear the fireworks are getting noisier. The last one sounded like a moon rocket taking off!

They are getting bigger and noisier - I used to love them when i was young, we had our own bonfire but now fireworks are so powerful Carol.

One of my carers said yesterday that they are now making silent fireworks. Great idea if true.

have been reading about noise limits. some are regulated and we can buy is "quiet "fireworks" but dependent on the explosion to display properly

sorry cant remember the details

It's on the internet, low noise fireworks, it would seem a bit weird though, silent bangers, :-)

Lovely painting Ern…quite a few people in my neighbourhood have fireworks and some of them are pretty spectacular. I can watch from the warmth of my own home! Best wishes, Jan
