My pain managemnt was awaste of time -when I spoke to the woman about my wrist she said it was only acute pain & I wasnt elligible because they only did chronic pain & to cap it all she told me my GP shouldnt have referred me

Good luck with your jab and also your phone consult!! What kind of crème do you use to numb your skin? Does it work on back pain?

horseygirl_0103 profile image
horseygirl_0103 in reply toSolily

I use emla cream its a numbing cream for when people are having injections-mainly for kids but im needlephobic .so i dont think it ll work on backpain -have you thought about trying volterol I persuaded my doctor tolet me have it on my repeat prescription for my arthritis because i cant afford it

Thank you... I will look into the cream. I think I have seen it in our local pharmacy. Have a good day!!

ok good good luck with it & let me know how u get on with it Ive requested & got it on my repeat prescription

for some reason it got taken off & there was a problem trying to get it back on & I had to resort to bribery & telling my doctor to write to my GP to ensure it gets re added to my repeat -i had to bribe my GP-& tell him straight that if it isnt added then I wont come to any reviews or appointments that meant having blood tests ever because i cant have them without emla cream & the more they stick to their guns & refuse the more i ll delay making an appointment for a review until they did & then I wrote to my doctor at the chest medicine where i go to & explained the situation & requested she write to them & tell them I needed it to be readded & I asked her to put in the letter that i was refusing to come to any appointment (including the up & coming one in wythenshawe that needs blood tests if they didnt put it back on .In the end they did as they were told & I will check every month to make sure they hqve put it in -If they havent I may have to tell them again that failure to add it willmean me refusing to come to reviews or any appts needing blood tests

Wishing you well horseygirl_0103. Thinking of you. Pete’s had his 4th jab and I’ve had 3. I can’t wait for my 4th in the autumn apparently. No idea if Pete will get a 5th jab but I hope so. Xxx

Glad to hear vaccine went well. With figures going up you would think more people would wear masks again. Health people should know. My hubby went to pain management clinic said waste of time. Look after yourself speak again soon. Take care.

thanks very much. The younger generation it seems to me have been the winners in the pandemic because even though it was a legal mandatory to wear masks the majority refused point blank & now theres no restrictions theyre all glad

They should have done on spot fines and insisted they pay there and then.
