How I loved my iPhone, my iPad and iPod.
And all the other gadgets, that did a proper job.
They made my life so easy and kept me well ahead.
My writing then converted, to digital instead
The fountain pen, long in the bin, a ballpoint in it's place.
Taken over by the rollerball, in the gadget race.
The paperless society then began to make it's way.
We didn't know at that time that it wasn't going to stay.
This all went hunky-dory, till I began to see.
That changes all continued, but this time they were in me.
The gadgets that I loved so much, each one a useful tool.
Began to be determined, to make me look a fool.
The digi stuff emerging, was not what I had writ.
The gadget sent it on it's way before the thing was fit.
It dings and dongs and rings it's bell for what I do not know.
The stuff I really want to see, I can't get it to show.
So back I am with fountain pen and ink all on my hands.
Although my writings not be so good, it stays there where it stands.
All my lovely gadgets, just sit there on their own.
Grumbling and moaning that they want to go back home.
