So I wish you all the finest of the future (it's still 2017 here), but would like to begin the year with some readings I've read on lemons. Yes, they are good for anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, and if so, why not emphy? Not the whole lemon, but specifically the rinds. The act of freezing whole lemons and then shaving and consuming bits of rind are to work on all sorts of colds making them beneficial to our weak lungs. The obvious is the vitamin C, but studies give lemon rind properties the strength of some types of chemo ...apparently.
The remaining lemon parts should be boiled and cooled, then enjoyed warm as a tea or chilled with honey as a beverage. Hope you can open these links. Call me crazy, but what have we got to lose?
Thank you for the link....one GP that I saw recommended honey and lemon for my cough.
I buy lemons when they are cheap, either halve them or slice and then freeze.
On your link also there is a mention of anti inflammatory winter veg......kale and broccoli are two of them. I have been making soup with added canned beans for protein, using as many vegetables as I can manage......not Brussels though!
A previous post mentioned the healing properties of apples and tomatoes too.....I stock up on them when on special offer .
Mr melley,Welcome to 2018 you re now officially in it.thank you for the Lemon links they are most interesting.i shall leave you another link to a very famous song which i know you are old enough to recognise..'Lemon tree very pretty'
Skis and Scruffy, thanks for the tunes, a true nostalgic blast from the past. I hope only the finest turkey giblets are on the master's resolution list. Or rat biscuits.
The juice of a large lemon, along with honey, ginger, cayenne, and organic vinegar, is a main ingredient in the best decongestant that I've ever used. I could never understand the reasoning behind mixing decongestant and cough suppressant in the same bottle. They contradict one another, or that was my thinking on the mix. Happy New Year to all...
I meant to say "expectorant" rather than decongestant, though It seems they are similar in meaning. I do a lot with lemons along the lines your articles spoke of using them. Thank you for providing the links. I enjoy reading of natural remedies.
